Maharashtra ATS arrests two suspected terrorists

Two suspected terrorists have been arrested in Mumbai by Maharashtra's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for allegedly plotting to blow up oil tanks of the state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) located in the city. The two, identified as Abdul Latif alias Guddu and Riyaz Ali , are suspected to have links with international terrorist outfits. ATS chief K P Raghuvanshi told reporters that acting on a tip off they were arrested from near Matunga railway station in central Mumbai last night. The two were preparing to set one of the ONGC establishments in the city on fire following instructions from someone called 'Uncle'.<br/> Mr Raghuvanshi said they were getting instructions from Pakistan to execute their activities. <br/>Later the duo were produced in Quila court in the city which remanded them to police custody till 18th of this month. Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has also arrested three terror suspects believed to be linked to the banned Hizbul Mujahideen. ATS chief Ajay Tomar said in Ahmedabad today, the arrested men were involved in unlawful activities in the state from the city. However, he refused to divulge further details.<br/>Sources in the ATS said that the arrested persons are terror suspects who were active in the state and supposed to have links with Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit.
