Maharashtra ATS arrests one more in Madgaon blast case

Maharashtra ATS has arrested a key accused in the Madgaon blast case. The arrested man has been identified as Prashant Juvekar of the Sanatan Sanstha and he is accused of conspiracy and training people to carry out the attack. Juvekar was arrested at the Bhusawal railway station of Maharashtra on July 31Maharashtra ATS chief Rakesh Maria today said in Mumbai that Sanatan Sanstha's Prashant Juvekar, one of the prime conspirators in the 2009 Goa blast case, arrested outside Bhusawal station on July 31 in Jalgaon district.Police also claim to have recovered a 7.65 mm pistol from him. Juvekar was produced in a Nashik court on Monday that sent him on police remand till August 3.It may be noted that almost nine months after the Margao blast, the local court on July 14 had ordered framing of charges against four activists of Sanatan Sanstha which were arrested in connection with the blast.Five more accused in the blast conspiracy are absconding.Goa Police’s special cell had initially investigated the case which was later handed over to National investigation agency (NIA).
