In Maharashtra's Washim district, at least three people were killed and eight others injured in a head-on collision between a private bus and a tanker. The accident occurred this morning when a hotel private bus traveling from Pune to Yavatmal collided with the tanker at Watane Lawn near Washim city on the Akola-Nanded highway. While three deaths have been so far confirmed, officials said the toll may rise. Police said, all the injured have been admitted to Washim Government Hospital for treatment.&nbsp; The accident caused a traffic jam on the Akola-Hyderabad highway for several hours.
