Maharashtra: At least 3 people killed, 8 injured in bus and tanker collision in Washim district

In Maharashtra's Washim district, at least three people were killed and eight others injured in a head-on collision between a private bus and a tanker. The accident occurred this morning when a hotel private bus traveling from Pune to Yavatmal collided with the tanker at Watane Lawn near Washim city on the Akola-Nanded highway. While three deaths have been so far confirmed, officials said the toll may rise. Police said, all the injured have been admitted to Washim Government Hospital for treatment.  The accident caused a traffic jam on the Akola-Hyderabad highway for several hours. However, the traffic department smoothed the traffic by bringing a crane and setting aside the ill-fated vehicles. <br />''<br />''<br />
