The Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday revoked the suspension of nine opposition MLAs. Last week, five Shiv Sena and four BJP members were suspended for disrupting the budget speech presented by Maharashtra Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Ajit Pawar. The motion to revoke the suspension was moved in the Assembly by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshwardhan Patil on Tuesday morning. Mr. Patil informed the Assembly members that the suspended members have expressed regret at their conduct and have assured good behaviour in future. He then urged the members to revoke their suspension and the motion was passed through a voice vote. With the suspension being revoked, the opposition members ended their boycott of the Legislature proceedings and attended the House.
