<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has informed that around 11.90 lakh migrant workers have been sent back home by 826 Shramik Special trains till 2nd of June. An official statement said, the Maharashtra Government has borne their travel fare, amounting to about 100 crore rupees.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The highest number of train services, numbering 450, were sent for Uttar Pradesh, followed by 177 to Bihar, 49 to West Bengal, 34 to Madhya Pradesh, 32 to Jharkhand, 20 to Rajasthan and 17 to Odisha. These special trains were run to 21 states across the country. Meanwhile, in an affidavit filed before the Bombay High Court, the State Government claimed that it did not have any pending demand for Shramik Special trains and it would arrange for the same, if requests are made.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The affidavit filed by Secretary of Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation Department Kishor Nimbalkar, further said that adequate measures were being taken to provide food, shelter and medical care to migrant workers stranded in the state. According to the affidavit, over 6.6 lakh migrants were housed in 5,427 relief camps, adding that the number of migrants had come down to 37,994 by the end of May. It added that the State Government and civic authorities had also provided food packets and drinking water to people travelling in Shramik Special trains.</span> <br />
