Maharashtra and Karnataka Governor holds coordination meeting in Kolhapur regarding inter-state common issues

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot have given a suggestion that efforts should be made to increase the coordination of local administration in all the districts in the border areas of Maharashtra and Karnataka states.<br />'' <br />'' A coordination meeting of the two states was held at the Residency Club in Kolhapur regarding the inter-state common issues of the districts bordering the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka in the presence of the governors of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Collectors and Superintendents of Police of five districts of border areas of Maharashtra and four districts of Karnataka were present on this occasion.<br />'' <br />'' Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari said, there is good coordination between the border districts of Maharashtra and Karnataka states. He also indicated that the coordination meeting will definitely be beneficial in the future by saying that the state government will be informed about the problems that need to be solved at the state level through the discussion between the officials of both states.<br />'' <br />''While, Governor of Karnataka Gehlot expressed his satisfaction regarding this state-level coordination meeting and said that in accordance with the discussion held in this meeting, all the concerned administrations should create better coordination with each other and try to get the benefits of the government schemes to the citizens of that area.
