In a significant move, Maharashtra govt from this year has stopped the procedure of Common Entrance Tests for admission in Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery- ANM and General Nursing Midwifery -GNM and said from now on admission in these courses would be based on the marks of Class XII.<br />'' <br />'' The decision was taken yesterday in a review meeting of the Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education held at the Ministry under the chairmanship of Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh. Mr. Deshmukh said earlier, the admission process of ANM and GNM was based on the merits of the Common Entrance Test, however, from this year onwards, the admission process for this course will be based on the marks of Class XII.<br />''  <br />
