<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, the prestigious 94th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan scheduled to be held between 26 to 28 March in Nashik, has been postponed for indefinite period due to the spike in Covid-19 cases in the state. This was announced by the President of Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Mahamandal Kautikrao Thale Patil in Aurangabad today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Kautikrao said that the Mahamandal had earlier decided not to organize the Sammelan due to the pandemic but the situation was improved considerably in the state after November 2020 and after December 2020 it looked as if the state has been able to control the pandemic and it will soon become Corona- free. Therefore the Mahamandal accepted the invitation of Lok-Hitwadi Mandal from Nashik to organize the Sammelan in Nashik. All the arrangements were being made for the conference.&nbsp; But suddenly the situation in the state changed in the last month and it prompted the Mahamandal to rethink its decision to hold the Sammelan in this situation.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Thale Patil said that he discussed the issue with various stakeholders including Nashik's guardian minister Chhagan Bhujbal and the hosts in Nashik and the office bearers of four prominent literary institutes in the state and considering the safety of the authors, poets and publishers including the president and people expected to attend the Sammelan, it was decided to postpone the Sammelan and not to cancel it. He said that there will be no change in the President, acting president and all the invitees for the meet and decision will be taken to hold the meet as soon as possible once the situation is improved in the state.&nbsp;</span><br />
