According to the revised 9 criteria of Tobacco Free institution, 571 schools in Palghar District have been declared Tobacco free schools. These schools are located in different centres of Vasai, Jawhar, Wada, Talasari and Mokhada Tehsils.<br />'' <br />''654 schools out of total 3 thousand 231 schools in Palghar district have been registered on Salaam Mumbai Foundation App. 571 schools. Palghar ZP, Education department, Health department, National Tobacco Control programme, Salaam Mumbai Foundation and state de addiction centre are running the campaign for last two- three years in the district.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Milind Patil who is the convenor of De addiction Maharashtra Centre of the district has said that the district has managed to achieve the record within 3 months of this educational year.
