Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan today said that the state has achieved balanced growth in industrial development and is ahead in infrastructure, agriculture, health, education and all other important sectors. The Chief Minister was speaking after unfurling the national Mr. Chavan said that the government is making constant efforts to bring change and the state is progressing speedily. He also said that the government is taking important decisions for the welfare of people and implementing them too. He briefed about various government schemes for the state on the occasion.Mr. Chavan said it has become very difficult for the common man to own a house in Mumbai or at other big cities in Maharashtra. For this, the state government has decided to work towards a goal of ensuring affordable houses and the scheme will soon come in to force. Mr. Chavan added that the government will make Maharashtra an online state in the next five years that will reduce corruption and help citizens avail government facilities. He added the state will also make sure that the scheme will reach across to even the smallest of villages.
