<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the fire mishap at Bhandara Civil Hospital was really a tragic one. Speaking to reporters after visiting the hospital this afternoon, Mr Tope said that he along with the guardian minister of Bhandara district visited the spot and spoke to the hospital staff. The Health Minister informed that there were eight new born girls and two new born boys were killed in the most unfortunate and saddening fire incident.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced 5 lakh rupees each as compensation to the kin of the deceased. The CM has ordered a probe in this incident. The government has decided to conduct an audit of all neo-natal care units across the state to ensure safety.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has conveyed his deepest condolences to the families of the innocent children who lost their lives in the mishap.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Vijay Wadettiwar informed that the state government has called teams from National Fire Safety College and Visveswaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, to find out the reasons behind the fire mishap at Bhandara civic hospital within 15 days. Wadettiwar, however, admitted that a proposal for fire safety equipment for the hospital had been pending since May last year. The minister said, What happened to it will also be found out, He also said that the newborn section was inaugurated in 2016 without requisite fire safety clearance. He added that the minister demanded said that all the government hospitals must be provided with modern fire safety equipment. He said the issue will be discussed in the Cabinet meeting soon. He also said that government hospitals must go through a periodic fire safety audit.</span><br />''  <br />
