Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan today said that the state has achieved balanced growth in the industrial development and is ahead in infrastructure, agriculture, health, education and all other important sectors. The Chief Minister was speaking after unfurling the national flag at Mantralaya in Mumbai on the occasion of the 68th Independence Day. He said, we should remember the sacrifice made by martyrs and freedom fighters and make all efforts to take the country to greater heights.In Pune, Governor K. Shankarnarayanan today unfurled the National flag at Council Hall in Raj Bhavan. A large gathering, including Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, freedom fighters, top government and police officials and other dignitaries graced the occasion.
