Mahant inaugurates India pavilion at German international food fair

The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Industries Mr. Charan Das Mahant on Saturday inaugurated the India pavilion at an international food fair in Cologne, Germany. According to an official statement issued in New Delhi on Sunday, Mr. Mahant led the Indian delegation to the event. Over a hundred Indian exhibitors are participating in the 'Anuga Food Fair' and over 1.5 lakh trade visitors are likely to visit the five-day event. The statement said that the exhibition is billed as one of the most important fair of its kind in the world, where producers and traders of organic, processed, dairy and bakery food items and beverages exhibit their wares.
