Election Commission has issued show cause notice to MNS chief Raj Thackeray for his alleged remarks against non-Marathis during campaign for assembly polls in Maharashtra.
The Commission has asked him to explain his stand by tomorrow morning. In his rallies at Ghatkopar on 5th and at Kalna on 7th of this month, Mr. Thackery had said that if people vote for his party, only Marathi people will be given job in Maharashtra and no employment will given to people belonging to other states.
In its notice, the poll body observed that prima- facie by making such statement, Mr. Thackeray has violated the model code of conduct.
Maharashtra BJP had filed the complaint with the Commission against MNS chief in this regard.
