Ten bodies have been recovered so far from the debris following the worst ever landslide at Maleen Village near Bhimashankar in Ambegaon Taluka of Pune district, this morning.

The rescue and relief operations are on despite heavy downpour.Around 300 jawans of NDRF have been dispatched to assist relief and rescue operations. Around 44 houses alongwith 400 people are feared to have been trapped under the debris. The village has a population of 800 people.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit the grief stricken village tomorrow morning after a halt at Pune tonight.
