Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari planted a sapling of Taman known as 'The Pride of India' in memory of the former Prime Minister and former President of Mauritius Anerood Jugnauth at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai today on the occasion of World Environment Day.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Mr. Anerood Jugnauth passed away in Mauritius recently and national mourning is being observed in his memory. Noting that Mr. Jugnauth had visited Raj Bhavan Maharashtra in the past, the Governor planted the sapling of Taman (Lagerstroemia speciosa), whose flower is the State flower of Maharashtra. The National Flag was flown half-mast at Raj Bhavan in respect of the departed Mauritian leader.</span><br />
