<span style="color: #222222;">Due to a massive spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, the state government said that Holi this year should be celebrated in a simple manner, observing social distancing norms and without coming together in any way given the increasing spread of COVID-19. The government ordered that no big religious or cultural programmes should be organised on the day of Holi and Rang Panchami. Apart from this many district administrations have prohibited public and private holi celebrations and urged citizens to avoid personal celebrations too.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Those violating the orders will be booked under the Disaster Management Act, Maharashtra Covid-19 Regulations and section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC. In continuation to that night curfew got imposed from the midnight of 27th March where more than five people will not be allowed to gather together. Besides, all public places that include gardens and beaches will remain closed from 8 PM to 7 AM. In addition to this, any person found to be without masks shall be fined five hundred rupees and those found spitting will be fined one thousand rupees.Meanwhile, the Mumbai civic body has collected fine of 42 crore 16 lakh 36 thousand from people who were found without facemasks, so far. On the other hand, the Mumbai police have collected Four crore Thirty Five lakh Seventy Eight thousand from people who were not wearing a facemask.</span>
