In Maharashtra, the counting of votes of General Elections to Municipal Corporations would be taken up simultaneously along with that of the Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis in the decentralised manner this morning. The results are expected to be declared till late in the afternoon. The polling for General Elections to the ten civic bodies including three Municipal Corporations in Vidarbha region was conducted yesterday in peaceful manner.?As per the preliminary estimates, around 55 to 60 per cent voting was registered during the civic body elections held in Nagpur, Amravati and Akola Municipal Corporation. No untoward incident was reported as the police and other security agencies maintained a strict vigil.
