On this day, Goddess Durga is worshipped by the devotees in the form of Maha Gauri. <br />”<br />”In Uttar Pradesh, people perform Kanya Pujan by organising feast for young girls, who are considered as a form of Goddess Durga. <br />”<br />”In Eastern and North Eastern states the Durga Puja, as it is called, begins from the Seventh day of Navratri, and is celebrated for 5 days till Vijay Dashmi. Pandals are put up with Durga Idols on different themes, visited by people.
