Maha Ashtami being celebrated in various parts of the country with religious fervour

Traditionally, the festival is observed for nine days in Hindu households. It is mainly celebrated in the States of West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Sikkim, Odisha and some other parts as well.
