India's Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom five times world champion, Olympian and now the undisputed Asian Champion. Mary Kom won the gold medal in women's flyweight category today.This was the seventh gold medal of India at the Incheon Asian Games. Mary Kom also known as Super Mom had to pluck just the Asian feather to her hat. At the Seonhak Gymnasium amid the chants of India-India Mary Kom delivered the golden punch to rout 6 year younger opponent Zhaina Shekerbekova of Kazakhsthan. Though first round was taken away from her after that she patiently observed the opponent and released her fury. It was a close contest but the judges gave Mary Kom 2-Nil victory and handed the lone Asian Gold medal to her.The recently released biopic on this boxer named Mary Kom only has a sequel to follow, Journey from the world championship to path of Rio Olympics. On the other hand Sarita Devi continues her protest as she refused to wear the bronze medal around her neck at the podium. Today medal can also be expected from Athletics as PT Usha protege Tintu Luka the middle distance runner will figure in the finals. Besides that, Ashwini Akkunji and Jithin Paul in the 400-metres Hurdles; M. Prajusha and Mayookha Johnny in Triple Jump; Sushma Devi and Sajeesh Joseph in 800 metres; and Annu Rani in Javelin Throw will be seen competing for the top medal. Meanwhile, the Women's Hockey Bronze medal match is underway, Indian eves are playing Japan.
