Magisterial inquiry in ordered in youth’s death in J&K

In Kashmir valley authorities have ordered magisterial inquiry and suspended two police cops following death of a youth Tariq in Rafiabad aerea of Baramula district. The police had arrested the youth some days back and claimed he was an overground operative of L e t militant oufit. There were protests in the area as locals alleged it was a custodial killing of innocent youth. The incident heightened tension in the valley as dead body of another missing youth of Batmalo aerea of Srinager city was also fished out of a stream last evening. Sensing trouble authorities have imposed severe restrictions on peoples movement in Interior Srinagar city along with Maisuma and Batmalo area and also restive Sopore town in North Kashmir. Normal life in the valley is also affected due to fresh protest hartal called by Hardline faction of Huriat conference. AIR Srinager correspondent adds that the continuous disruption in Normal life has resulted in shortage of ration and medicines particularly in Farflung areas.
