Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Sukhdeo Rajbhar on Friday disqualified ruling Bahujan Samaj Party member Farid Mafooz Kidwai from the Vidhan Sabha for violating the anti-defection law.Talking to media persons at Lucknow Mr. Rajbhar said that disqualification of Mr. Kidwai is effective from May 9, 2011. He said that legal options are being taken on realisation of the monetary privileges taken by the disqualified member from May to till date.The Bahujan Samaj Party state President Swami Prasad Maurya had filed petition in this regard.Our Lucknow correspondent reports that Mr. Kidwai was elected from the Masauli Assembly segment of Barabanki district and had joined the Samajwadi Party. The disqualified legislator had moved the Allahabad High Court but did not get any respite.The BSP has filed petitions for disqualification of three more MLAs including Sher Bahadur, from Ambedkar Nagar, Satish Verma from Hardoi and Bhagwan Sharma alias Guddu Pandit from Bulandshahr.All the three had joined the SP and were slated to contest the next elections on that party's symbol.
