The court has said teachers are endowed with leadership traits and expecting it to be used during situations like the pandemic or disasters is only justifiable. It said the teachers appointed by the government or the civic body are public servants and it is not out of place to expect the services from them.<br />''<br />''The court also referred to the selfless services being rendered by women police in the fight against the pandemic. During the hearing of the petition, the State Government said teachers are not involved in field works but only in coordinating the functions of the volunteers from an office premise.</span><br />
