The Madras HighCourt has upheld the uniform system of school education (Samacheer Kalvi ) in the State. Passing orders today the First division Bench of the High Court has asked the State Government to implement the Uniform School Syllabus. The Bench comprising Chief Justice M.Y.Iqbal and Justice T.S.Sivagnanam also nullified the new amendment brought by the government in the State Assembly to defer the implementation of Samacheer Kalvi. The Bench observed that students have been put to unnecessary confusion in this regard and said that the books should be distributed in this month. The Advocate General of the State, Mr.Navaneetha Krishnan said that the Government would approach the Supreme Court in this matter.
