Madras HC rejects Nalini’s plea for premature release

<br/>The Madras High Court today dismissed a petition filed by Rajiv Gandhi assassination case accused Nalini, seeking premature release under General Amnesty on the grounds of good conduct in Vellore Central Prison. The petition was dismissed by a Division Bench, comprising Justices Elipe Dharma Rao and K K Sasidharan. The Bench had earlier reserved its orders on March 29 after hearing the arguments from both the sides. It was for the second time that her plea for early release was turned down after the Tamil Nadu government informed the Court on March 29 that she could not be released based on the report of the Prison Advisory Board.<br/><br/>
