<span style="color: #222222;">The Madras High Court has dismissed as many as 28 criminal defamation cases filed by the Tamil Nadu Government against various media houses.<br />''<br />'' Between 2012 and 2013, the state government filed a series of cases against various media including The Hindu and The Times of India. The media houses approached the High Court which has accepted their demand to quash the proceedings.</span><br />
