Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the state government will provide a relief of three thousand crore rupees to the drought affected farmers. <br/><br/>Interacting with farmers on AIR's live phone-in programme "Mukhyamantri ki baat, Kisanon ke saath", he said that an additional three thousand crore rupees will be given under crop insurance scheme. <br/><br/>Mr. Chouhan said that 33 thousand villages have been affected by the drought and the state government is committed to help farmers in this hour of crisis. He said that the recovery of farm loans will be postponed and farmers will be given seeds and fertilizers on zero per cent loan for Rabi crop. He also appealed private money lenders to not to recover loans. He asked district collects to take action against money lenders if they try to recover loans. <br/><br/>Mr Chouhan said that the state government will give 25 thousand rupees to drought affected farmers for marriage of their daughters. Drought affected farmers will also be provided wheat, rice and salt on one rupees per kilogram.
