In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Kamal Nath today laid the foundation stone for around 7,500 crore rupees metro rail project in Indore. Mr Kamal Nath formally started the construction work of this project near the toll block on MR-10 Road in the city.<br />'' <br />'' Urban Development and Housing Minister Jayawardhan Singh and some other ministers and local public representatives were present in the programme. A new chapter of urban public transport is being added in the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh through this metro project. The officials said that a total of 31.55 kilometre-long ring corridor is proposed to be built under the metro rail project in the largest city in terms of population in the state.<br />'' <br />'' Majority of the metro route will be elevated, while some portion will remain underground. In all, 29 stations are to be built on this route. The metro rail project will be completed by August 2023 in a phased manner. The blueprint of the Metro Rail project in Indore was prepared during the tenure of the previous BJP Government of the state.<br />''
