In Nepal, Madhesi Party and Naya Shakti Party has merged to form a new political outfit named Samajwadi Party-Nepal. The Madhesi party was led by Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav while former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai led Naya Shakti Party.<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Bhattarai said the new party would be based in the Terai-Madhes region in the southern plains. According to the agreement of merger, Bhattarai will chair the Samajwadi Party-Nepal's federal council, while Yadav, who is also the Health Minister, chair the central committee.</span><br />
