The Former ISRO Chairman Dr G Madhavan Nair has underlined the need of sanitation and handling various waste management in the rural areas. Releasing the Compendium based on Studies on Pollution Mitigation in New Delhi, Mr Nair said that agriculture, animal, sewage and other wastes, available in the rural areas can be converted into energy for which awareness is needed among the people. The compendium includes research paper on various environmental issues on air quality control management, groundwater management, industrial pollution control and municipal waste management.
