In Badminton, Sameer Verma, the finalist of recently concluded Hong Kong Open, was defeated by Muhammad Bayu Pangisthu of Indonesia, in straight games, 18-21, 13-21 in second round of Macau Open today. Parupalli Kashyap, however, entered in the Men's Singles pre-quarterfinals defeating Chun-Wei Chen of Chinese Taipei, 21-19, 21-8. Sai Praneeth is yet to play his second round match. In Men's Doubles, the third seeded pair of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy also moved to the pre-quarters. The duo defeated Hong Kong's team of Kuen Hon Li and Alan Yun Lung Chan, 21-11, 17-21, 21-9. In Women's Singles, Saina Nehwal will face Indonesia's Hanna Ramadini today.
