Shri M O H Farooq has taken over as the Kerala Governor today. Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, Justice J Chelameshwar administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new Governor in a function held at Rajbhawan in Thiruvananthapuram. Chief Minister Sh.Oommen Chandy, his cabinet colleagues and a galaxy of eminent citizens graced the occasion. Mr Farooq, three time chief minister of Puthuchery, had also served as Governor of Jharkhand and Union minister. He assumes office in place of Sh. R S Gavai as the 19th Governor of Kerala.
