BJP MP Maheish Girri called off his hunger strike on Tuesday against the charges leveled by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal into the alleged murder of NDMC official M M Khan. Home Minister Rajanth Singh, who visited the protest site, convinced the MP to withdraw his strike. Mr. Giri was on a hunger strike outside Mr. Kejriwal's residence in the national capital asking him to prove the charges.<br/><br/>In a letter to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Mr. Kejriwal had accused him of trying to protect Mr. Girri in the murder case. <br/><br/>Khan was shot dead in n May this year in south Delhi area, a day before he was scheduled to clear an order on the lease terms of a hotel functioning on property leased out by the NDMC.
