Dr M C Mishra today retired as the director of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences after serving a tenure of more than three years. <br/><br/>Balram Airan, Dean, AIIMS and chief of the Cardio-Thorasic Centre has taken over the charge as acting director till the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet finalises the name of its new head. <br/><br/>In his 39-month tenure, Mr Mishra contributed immensely to the Apex Medical Sciences University of India taking it to new heights.
