President Pranab Mukherjee today conducted the mega draw of Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana. Mr Mukherjee drew lots for the mega draw electronically at a function in Rastrapati Bhawan. <br/><br/>Three mega prizes for consumers worth 1 crore rupees, 50 lakh and 25 lakh rupees and three for merchants worth 50 lakh, 25 lakh and 12 lakh rupees were announced at the event through the 100th mega draw.<br/><br/>The winners will be felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 14th of this month in Nagpur, on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, the President said, India is on the cusp of Digital Revolution. He said the initiative of the government to promote Digital Transactions is a good beginning and it needs to be sustained with participation of all sections of society. <br/><br/>He congratulated the winners of the draw as well as all citizens who participated in this digital mission and contributed in making India a less cash society. <br/><br/>The government had launched the Lucky Grahak Yojana for consumers and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana for merchants on 25th of December last year to promote and encourage digital transactions. The schemes are being implemented by the National Payment Corporation of India.<br/><br/>Digi Dhan Melas have been held across the country, in 100 cities over a period of 100 days generating a huge response among the people to adopt digital mode of payments.<br/><br/>The Lucky Grahak Yojana rewards 1000 rupees daily to 15,000 customers undertaking digital transactions. Weekly prizes upto one lakh rupees for consumers and 50 thousand rupees for merchants are given.
