The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation,CBI, to probe the murders of two CMOs of Lucknow, Dr. V.K. Arya and Dr.B.P. Singh. A division bench of the court comprising Justices Pradeep Kant and Ritu Raj Awasthi also passed the order directing CBI to investigate the anomalies alleged in implementation of National Rural Health Mission in the state capital Lucknow. The court has asked the CBI to start probe forthwith and complete in three months. The court has passed this order while hearing a PIL seeking CBI probe into the murders.
