Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic has made her maiden French Open Women's Singles final. In the first semi-final in Paris today, the 13th seeded Safarova defeated seventh seeded Ana Ivanovic of Serbia in straight sets 7-5, 7-5. Ivanovic had won her only French Open title in 2008. The second women's singles semi-final between top seeded American Serena Williams and 23rd seed Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland is now in progress.
