LTTE leader late Prabhakaran's aged father who was discovered by the Sri Lankan troops amongst the war displaced civilians in the refugee camps in Manik Farm in the last week of May passed away last night .Thiruvekkadam Velupillai died on Wednesday night following a brief illness. He was 86 years old and was currently staying under government protection. His wife was staying with him and is also not keeping good health.The news of his death was confirmed to AIR by the military spokesperson Udaya Nanyakkara. He said that at the time of his death, he was under the protection of the military at the Army camp in Panagoda.
