The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered cases against six Rajya Sabha MPs and ex-MPs in a Leave Travel Concession, LTC, scam. A CBI spokesperson said that searches are on at the residences of the MPs and some agents. Searches are being conducted at ten places in Delhi and Odisha.

The investigation agency has alleged that the MPs allegedly furnished invalid travel papers to claim LTC reimbursements. The CBI is likely to question the MPs soon. The parliamentarians against whom the cases have been registered belong to different parties, including the Telugu Desam Party, the Trinamool Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party.
