Lt Governor Najeeb Jung has sent report to the Centre on the situation in Delhi in the wake of the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal government.
Sources said, the report would be sent to the President through the Union Home Ministry for final decision on whether to bring the national capital under Central rule or dissolve the House for holding fresh elections along with Lok Sabha polls as recommended by the outgoing Cabinet.
The Lt Governor is believed to have sent a factual report along with the resignation of the Government and the Cabinet's recommendation.
Arvind Kejriwal resigned as Delhi Chief Minister Friday night as his government failed to introduce its ambitious Jan Lokpal Bill in the Assembly due to lack of majority.
