Lt Governor grants prosecution of Sajjan Kumar

A go ahead has been given for the prosecution of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar accused in 1984 riot case. Earlier the Central Bureau of Investigation had sought permission to prosecute Sajjan Kumar and centre had advised the Lt Governor of Delhi to take a decision by month-end on the CBI application asking for permission for the prosecution.<br/><br/>The case was registered against Sajjan Kumar after the Nanavati Commission report in 2005 recommended fresh examination of complaints in which he had been named and no charge sheet had been filed.
