After five days standoff, the Lok Sabha will take up the Finance Bill for consideration and approval tomorrow. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath said this while talking to reporters outside Parliament today.
Both the houses of Parliament have been witnessing repeated adjournments in the second part of Budget Session. The two Houses could not transact much business today also as the stalemate between the opposition and the Government continued. Main opposition BJP has been pressing for the resignation of Prime Minister and the Law Minister over coal blocks allocation issue. Chinese incursion in the Indian territory was also forcefully taken up by the members apart from other issues.
The Congress today alleged that the BJP is stalling the proceedings in Parliament as the party's chances to show better performance in forthcoming assembly elections in Karnataka are bleak. Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, Congress spokesman Sandeep Dixit said the BJP is adopting obstructive methods in Parliament to send a political message to Karnataka.
The BJP on the other hand said that the party will allow smooth passage of the Finance Bill in the Lok Sabha. Party spokesman Prakash Javadekar said it will continue to press for the Prime Minister's resignation over the coal blocks allocation issue.
