LS to take up Climate Change for discussion tomorrow

The Lok Sabha will take up Climate Change for discussion tomorrow. The discussion assumes significance as opposition has been pressing the government to make its stand clear on the issue ahead of the Copenhagen summit on climate change later this month.

The House will take up for discussion the Liberhan Commission report, which probed the demolition of disputed structure at Ayodhya, on 9th of this month. The discussion on the report was deferred after Samajwadi Party members wanted a Hindi version of the report which is being provided to them and others interested by Friday.

The report of the Liberhan Commission was tabled on 24th of last month in Parliament. As already reported, the report has indicted top BJP and RSS leaders including former prime minister Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani and others. BJP has already questioned the indictment of Mr. Vajpayee saying he was never summoned for hearing by the commission. The party has also described the report far from the realty.
