The Lok Sabha will take up discussion today on price rise under rule 184 which provides for voting. The opposition BJP has been demanding for such a discussion on the issue.A motion by NDA leaders Yashwant Sinha and Sharad Yadav will be moved in the House for discussion. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal told reporters that the government is hopeful that the House will work smoothly. He added that government is ready to discuss all the issues raised by the Opposition. The Rajya Sabha is to take up discussion on internal security today. Yesterday, a host of issues stalled the proceedings of the two houses of Parliament The issues ranged from price rise to demand for dismissal of Mayawati government and immediate execution of Ajmal Kasab . In the Lok Sabha, SP members trooped into the well seeking dismissal of the Mayawati government in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh for committing atrocities against farmers. Members of BSP followed suit by carrying placards, blaming Congress-led government for the poor conditions of the peasantry. They demanded immediate passage of the Land Acquisition Bill. Shiv Sena MPs stormed the well raising slogans demanding that Mumbai terror attack culprit Ajmal Kasab and Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru be hanged immediately. In the Rajya Sabha it was trouble from the beginning. Opposition BJP members made a strong pitch in the house for the suspension of Question Hour to discuss price rise. The situation was no different when the two houses met after every adjournment. This led to their adjournment for the day.
