LS takes up forcible conversion issue for discussion

The Lok Sabha is discussing the issue of religious conversion after all the parties decided to take it up in the house. Initiating the discussion, Jyotiraditya Scindia of the Congress demanded that the Prime Minister should clarify on the issue.

Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav said that there is a need to strengthen the country but not on the cost of cast and religion. TMC leader Saugat Roy, leaders from CPI, CPI-M and other political parties had expressed their views against the forcible conversion which has recently happened in Agra.

After over three hour long discussion now the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, M. Venkaiah Naidu is replying in the house on the issue.
