<span style="color: #333333;">Lok Sabha today took up general discussion on the Union Budget 2020-21. Initiating the discussion, Senior Congress leader Manish Tiwari raised a poser to the government whether it is right for the government to sell the Public Sector Organization's shares.<br />'' <br />'' He also said that the Indian Economy is very strong because of these public sectors. Mr Tiwari also said, when there was an economic slowdown in 2008, only because of these public sector banks India was saved.<br />'' <br />'' BJP MP Jayant Sinha applauded the budget saying that it has something for everybody from farmers to students, women and tribals. He also said, if the country has to attain a five trillion dollar economy, we should shed out old thoughts and venture into a new era to make a new India. <br />'' <br />'' Lok Sabha member from Thoothukudi constituency of Tamil Nadu K. Kanimozhi of DMK today thanked the Finance Minister for including the Archaeological site in her constituency, Adhichanallur where a museum will be made. But, she came down heavily on the Finance Minister to mention about Saraswati Sindhu Civilization that was historically not existent. She pleaded to leave history to scholars and historians. Ms Kanimozhi alleged that the farmers who lost their crops were poorly compensated through the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. She also said that the budgetary allocation of MNREGA has been cut.<br />'' <br />'' AITC member Abishek Banerjee of Diamond Harbour constituency in West Bengal, said that in the 13,200 worded budget, there was no mention of unemployment. He also said, that the nation does not want internship and wanted employment. When the nation's GDP is less than five per cent, how can the government talk about five trillion dollar economy, he asked.<br />'' <br />'' He stated by marginally increasing the budgetary allocation for the defence by five per cent will affect defence procurement. The increase did not even match the inflation, he said. He also suggested the government instead of concentrating on Bullet Train, the government should provide bullet-proof jackets to the soldiers guarding the frontiers of the country.<br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Arvind Sawant of Shiv Sena from South Mumbai constituency today requested the government to concentrate on Primary Education. Participating in the general discussion on the Budget 2020-21, he also said that the compensation to farmers whose crops failed was yet to be disbursed. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also alleged that no private insurance agency is coming forward to provide insurance cover to the farmers. He also insisted that the Staff Selection Commission and other recruitment agencies recruit the people from the region. Complexities in the GST should be removed and the State Governments should be given their due amount, he insisted. Later, the house was adjourned for the day.</span><br />''
