Ahead of the monsoon session, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan is holding a meeting with leaders of political parties in the Lok Sabha in New Delhi.<br/><br/>The meeting has been convened to discuss ways to ensure smooth functioning of the house.<br/><br/>During the meeting, leaders of the various parties including Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Sudip Bandyopadhyay of TrinaMool Congress, Bhartruhari Mahtab of Biju Janata Dal, P Karunakaran of CPI(M) are present.<br/><br/>Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar are also attending the meeting.<br/><br/>At the beginning of the meeting Ms Mahajan launched an e-portal of members of the Lok Sabha.<br/><br/>She also released the Seventh edition of the book Practice and Procedure of Parliament written by M N Kaul and S L Shakdher.
