LS Speaker concludes consultation process aimed at pursuing Left parties to end deadlock over JPC probe

The Lok Sabha Speaker, Mrs. Meira Kumar on Friday concluded her consultation process aimed at pursuing opposition parties to end the deadlock over JPC probe demand into the 2G spectrum scam in Parliament. After discussions with the main opposition BJP yesterday, Mrs. Kumar exchanged views with Left and other parties. During the Winter Session of Parliament, the Speaker held two rounds of talks with the political parties to break the logjam. Leader of the Lok Sabha and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee also held two inconclusive rounds of talks with the opposition to end the deadlock. He even offered to convene a special session of Parliament to discuss the demand of JPC.
