Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has called an all party meeting on Sunday to discuss the ways for smooth functioning of Parliament. The session will commence on Monday.<br/><br/>During the meeting, Ms. Mahajan will seek cooperation from floor leaders of different parties to ensure smooth transaction of business in the House. <br/><br/>Last month, the Budget session of Parliament which was on recess to meet again on 25th of this month, was prorogued to facilitate promulgation of Ordinance to meet the financial requirements of Centrally ruled Uttarakhand. Hence, this will be entirely a new session.<br/><br/>During the session, government hopes to garner the support of opposition parties in passage of key legislations including the Goods and Services Tax Bill. Besides, Bill to replace Enemy Property Ordinance, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and Companies Amendment Bill will also be taken up. The session will continue till 13th of May.
